Holiday Window at Sunshine

(I hastily photoshopped out a street light)

Over the holidays, I did my very first window illustration! Did you know that tempera paint sux? Having to add layer after layer of paint and waiting for them to dry made it all a long process. Otherwise, window painting is fun! I liked it when little kids would stop to look and ask what I was doing. I also like standing on ladders. I'm excited for an opportunity to do more. It was the first time I had to paint in a subtractive sort of way, so I didn't do it right in places. But, now I know! Below are some other designs I was considering.

Thoughts of Laundry

This is some personal work. It was one of those images that pop into my head and then I can't rest until I put it to paper. The thought of doing open-air laundry makes me feel really calm. Wouldn't it be awesome to live in a small cottage that was on a cliff, overlooking some large body of water? Then hanging the laundry outside and having all the sheets smell so good? Real laundry is a drag though. It usually involves a musty basement or a laundromat.

I like this one, it's ghostly!

Sketchbook page.

I really like this rough prelim.

Christmas Snowmen Felt Ornaments

Every year for Christmas, I love to make ornaments as gifts for my family. This year it was these little guys. Hi, friends! Making things with your hands is so relaxing and rewarding. I even made the bag!

Also, the gift tags. Fa la la la la!
